Texas vs France

It occurred to me the other day that France and Texas actually have a lot in common.

In France, there are a lot of Eiffel Tower shaped things:

Cheese graters

Wine glasses

And my favorite... the USB stick.

Whereas Texas has many Texas shaped things...

Waffle irons

BBQ grills

and ice cube trays!

People from both places enjoy snakeskin footwear:

  












In France, the food looks up at you as you eat:

Whereas in Texas, the food looks down on you as you eat:

And they are about the same size:

Both have these places have moments where you just stop and go... only in France ... or only in Texas.  For example, I once saw in Texas a cowboy sitting on top of a semi-truck aquarium filled with bigmouth bass, wearing his cowboy boots and hat, fishing.  Or in France, I saw you can buy Louis Vuitton dog collars.
